WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Waco police are investigating an armed robbery early Tuesday morning at Richard Karr Motors at 900 West Loop 340.

The robbery was reported at around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, but the three robbers were gone by the time nearby officers arrived, Officer Garen Bynum said.

The three men, wearing face masks and armed with handguns, robbed not only the dealership, but also customers, Bynum said.

“Thankfully no physical injuries were reported, but this was a violent crime that will leave scars none the less,” Bynum said.

The white Ford F250 pickup truck in which the three fled was later found crashed and abandoned near Jessup Housing at 1001 West Loop 340, just south of the dealership.

Investigators were processing it for evidence Tuesday.

The truck had been stolen in Nolanville.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Waco Police Department at (254) 750-7500 or Crime Stoppers at (254) 753-4357.
