BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Three people were arrested after three students at Bryan High School were rushed to a hospital on Thursday for consuming edibles containing THC.

After school resource officers started investigating the origin of the edibles, Bryan police executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of Banks Street in College Station.

Two adults, 36-year-old Stephanie Latham, of Bryan, and 38-year-old Nicole Latham, of College Station, along with a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested.

Both adults were charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana in a drug free zone. The teen was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The conditions of the students were not immediately available by school officials but we’re told nobody is in critical condition. The school district also said there’s a hoax letter being circulated that says one student passed away, but BISD stresses that is not true.

“BISD wants to remind parents and students that whole THC might be legal in some states but it’s not here and it’s banned on campus,” said BISD spokesman Clay Falls.
