Rain chances return next week
Most of Central Texas saw a little bit of rain with our cold front that moved through, but the bulk of the heavier rain and strong storms missed us. It will stay stormy through the evening across parts of East Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. This front shifted the winds to the west, pushing drier air into our area. That dry air will cool off quickly tonight, but will also set the stage for a sunny and very nice day on Saturday. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will make it into the upper 70s and low 80s.
We may see a few stray showers across our southeastern counties Sunday, but the better rain chances will stay closer to the Texas coast. Another cold front arrives on Monday, bringing us some isolated showers (rain chances are only around 20%). Monday’s front will cool highs into the upper 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another system is set to arrive late next week bringing more scattered rain chances.
