Tyler Hoskins graduated from Texas A&M University in 2021 with a B.A. in journalism and minors in communication and sports management. While attending Texas A&M he worked for the Aggieland Yearbook and The Battalion, the student-run newspaper. He started at both publications in 2019 where he predominantly covered sports until he served as the Aggieland Yearbook's 2020-21 copy editor.
After graduating, Tyler began his career as a local news reporter at The Bryan/College-Station Eagle. While working for The Eagle he covered the Brazos County commissioners court, local crime and local economics.
Tyler was born in Tomball, Texas and grew up watching Houston's local news with his family. When he's not working he likes to spend time with family and friends, try new restaurants or just relax by watching TV or playing video games.
Tyler is excited to be a part of the KBTX team and looks forward to covering the stories in the Brazos Valley. Feel free to reach out to him via email or social media with any story ideas.
