Pound of meth seized after Highway 6 traffic stop
Brazos County Sheriff's deputies seized a pound of methamphetamine after pulling a woman over for speeding late Wednesday night on State Highway 6.
The deputy was watching drivers on Highway 6 at around 11 p.m. Wednesday when he pulled 45-year-old Tina Contreras over.
After asking Contreras and her passenger to get out of the car, deputies found a suspicious plastic bag by the driver's seat.
Inside they found a quart bag filled with crystal methamphetamine, weighing just more than a pound.
They also recovered almost $1,000 in cash.
Contreras was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
She remained in the Brazos County Jail Thursday.
